Racing Association Programme for Breeding Pigeons

Even if the chronicler is basically reporting on the performance of pigeons in the long-distance lofts, I still would like to make special mention of a pigeon that has advanced the fame of Hermes pigeons like no other. I'm talking about the great-great-grandfather of the Hermes colony, the legendary Piet B-76-6371889. This exceptional inheritor from the Oude Stammkoppel of Karel Meulemanns from Arendonk came to the High Westerwald at the arrangement of Piet de WeerdŽ. It's also the cock that everybody at the Hermes loft can identify with. In the course of his long breeding career, Piet produces numerous exceptional pigeons and a whole series of top flyers that shared in uncounted championships and prizes. Especially with the hen NL 76-311995, his partner over a number of years and a sister of the famous Dolle from Marijn van Geel, he produced a whole series of pigeons for the national and international programme.
